
Vibrant colors show that fruits and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals, fiber and other substances called phytochemicals that help your body stay healthy. Think of a plate full of colorful fruits and vegetables: red tomatoes, purple grapes, green broccoli, yellow pineapple, and orange carrots. The more colors you put on your plate (or in your lunch box), the more health benefits you are getting from your fruit and vegetable choices.
